Investing in the neighborhoods we call home

At Scottrade, investing isn’t just an important part of our business: It’s a philosophy that extends beyond where we work and into the neighborhoods where our associates and clients live.

We proudly support organizations championed by our associates, and believe that our charitable endeavors help create strong, vibrant communities. Thanks to their year-round dedication to volunteer work, they extend our foundation of “doing what’s right” into local communities.

  • 2,326 associate hours volunteered in 2016
  • $167,657 in associate donations matched in 2016
  • More than 500 organizations supported in 2016

Charitable Giving Program

Through our Charitable Giving Program, Scottrade matches dollar-for-dollar associates’ contributions to organizations.

To be eligible for the Charitable Match Program, organizations must be nonprofit, tax-exempt public charities as defined in Sections 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. In addition, the organization must be created or organized in the United States.

Day of Caring

Each year, associates are encouraged to participate in a Day of Caring and take a day off work to volunteer for a local charity. As part of the Day of Caring, Scottrade donates $20 for each hour an associate volunteers with the nonprofit.
